Education Background
Technic Dental Lab is a certified dental laboratory. Technicians are certified in the areas of ceramics, complete dentures, partials, and orthodontics. We are committed to continuing education for all of our technicians and staff so that we can remain ahead of the technology curve and assist you in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry.
Michael Capps, CDT: Owner/Technician. Mike Capps, CDT, is a 1976 graduate with an AAS degree in Dental Technology from Triton College. Mike is certified in Ceramics, Orthodontics and Removable Prosthetics. He attends several continuing education programs every year on Orthodontics, Cosmetics, Implants, and Management. Mike is active in the Illinois Dental Lab Association and served as the president of the association in 2002. He is also an associate member of the Illinois State Dental Society and a member of the American Association for Functional Orthodontics.
Linda Spagnoli: Fixed Prosthetic Team Leader/Technician. Director of Training and Education Linda graduated from Southern Illinois Unversity in 1984 with an AAS degree in Dental Technology. She is highly skilled in all aspects of Crown & Bridge with special attention to anteriors and all ceramic materials used at Technic. Linda has extensive experience in communications with dental professionals concerning Crown & Bridge treatment planning as well as working directly with their patients for shade taking and custom staining. She is involved in the training and education of all technicians at Technic to help better themselves and the quality of our prosthetics.
Jeff Downey, CDT: Removable Team Leader/Technician. Jeff Downey, CDT, graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1988 with an AAS degree in Dental Technology. Jeff came to Technic in 1992 and has been supervisor of the department since 1994. Jeff achieved certification in Removable Prosthetics in 1997. He has completed numerous continuing education courses dealing with removable prosthetics.
Paula Damiani: Orthodontic Team Leader/Technician. Paula is experienced in all phases of Orthodontic technology: fixed, removable, and functional. Paula has more than ten years of experience managing a busy orthodontic office. She has served as an Orthodontic Assistant and as a lab technician in a practice setting.
